Privacy Policy

How this desk handles your data

Privacy on an editorial site is mostly about two things: what happens when you write to us, and what happens when you simply read. Below is the plain version of both, written for readers rather than lawyers.

What we collect when you write in

When you submit the contact form, we receive the name, email address, phone number, subject and message you enter. The handler adds the submission time and page language and stores each successfully accepted message in a private server log so the editorial desk can review it and reply when appropriate. The form does not create an account or activate the monthly dispatch by itself.

Technical data and analytics

This project does not include an analytics platform or advertising network. The form handler does not deliberately add your IP address or browser details to the message log. As with any hosted website, the server provider may process basic technical logs needed to deliver pages and keep the service available.

Cookies and tracking

The site stores only a local preference used to remember the choice made in the cookie notice. That preference may be kept in browser storage and a first-party cookie for up to one year. The project does not set third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

Third-party processors

The site is delivered by a hosting provider and loads a few public resources from external sources, such as fonts and interface libraries. Those providers may receive the standard technical details of a web request. Contact-form messages are stored in the site’s own private server log and are not sent by this project to an outside form platform.

Your rights over your data

You can ask what information we retain from your form submission, request a copy, correct inaccurate details or ask for the entry to be deleted. You can also remove the saved site preference by clearing site data in your browser. For any of these requests, write to the editorial desk using the contact details on this page.

Editorial independence and honesty

This is an independent editorial magazine. We run no sponsored rankings and no padded lists, and a route tip from a reader is treated as an editorial suggestion, never as a promotional placement. We do not publish invented endorsements, artificial urgency or claims of affiliation we do not have. If something on a page is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

Privacy questions and requests

The desk is run by former deck crew, port agents and travel editors based in Buenos Aires, and the same people handle privacy correspondence. Reach us by email or phone, or send a written request to the postal address below. The English and Spanish editions follow the same rules described on this page.

How to reach the desk

Privacy requests, corrections and editorial questions about this policy all go to the same place. Write to us in English or Spanish; the desk reads both. We do not run a live chat, a ticketing portal or a callback queue, so a direct message is the only channel that reaches an editor.

What to include in a privacy message

Tell us which right you are exercising — access, correction, deletion, portability or withdrawal of consent — and the email address you used when you wrote to us. If your request concerns a route tip you sent, mention the subject line so we can find the thread. We handle these requests under the same editorial rules that govern the magazine, and we do not pass reader correspondence to advertisers or sponsors.

Cookie settings

We use a small first-party preference to remember your cookie-notice choice. You can accept or reject that preference before continuing.
